Great digger for Metal Detecting
So far this is a great little digger and seems to be rock solid. I had no problem with my plugs, even in hard ground. It feels natural in your hand and has a long blade for deeper targets. I like the sheath, although the velcro strap for the handle sometimes gets in the way when re-holstering, but nevertheless a nice addition. It also comes with a Garrett 2 year warranty which is great. This combined with a Garrett Pro-pointer and you'll be ready to go!
Decent but not the best
This digger does just an ok job for metal detecting. I put these kinds of tools through some abuse as the digging conditions where I live are tough (rocky soil and roots). I normally use a Lesche but thought I would give this a try since it is new on the market and a little less expensive. There are three things that should be improved on this tool:
1) the first time I had it out the blade bent when I was trying to pry a rock. I was able to bend it back by putting my foot on it. I cannot bend a Lesche!
2) The teeth constantly get caught on the sheath;
3) The top of the rubber grip ripped off during my 2nd time using it. I duct taped some padding on the top and like how it works now, but just noticed after several hard uses that the whole grip is sliding off.
Great tool
This looked tone heavy duty, when I received it I was surprised how heavy duty it was....I am pleased with my purchase.
