Worst Customer Service Experience Ever
I was given a Moultry Feeder last year for Christmas as a gift while I was attending college. I was unable to hunt at this time and just recently setup the feeder for this year. I set the clock and used new batteries for the clock and for the motor. I filled the feeder with 200 # of corn and the motor spun once and locked up. I dumped the feeder thinking the corn was not clean enough and jammed the motor. I replaced the batteries and still the motor remains locked. Currently the hunting season is half through and my feeder is again filled with 200 # of corn in the woods.
I have sent two emails and been on hold for 6+ hours altogether with Moultry's Customer Service department. No one will respond no matter what time of the day I call. I have spoke with operators who assure me that there are 20 customer service representatives that are servicing calls. I have tried talking to these representatives and they will not put me through to anyone, they place me on hold...
Timer malfunctioned after 1 month in the field.
This feeder was easy to put together, and functioned well for the initial month or so. Then the timer malfunctioned and it won't spin for more than a second, regardless of settings/programs. Customer service from Moultrie has been simply non-existent, both by telephone and email. (If anyone has a helpful suggestion, pls add a comment here...)
Best FEEDER KIT on the market
After almost 20 years of using deer feeders, I have been through my share of feeders and feeder kits. Moultrie has finally come up with a feeder kit that is so user friendly that i feel I could send my 11 year old daughter in to check and/or change any feeder I have and she could do it with ease. I believe also with the template sent with the unit that she could also mount the feeder to any barrel. I have 27 feeders up and they are all Moultrie Pro Hunter feeders, and unless Moultrie comes up with something better, I dont see ever changing to anything else. I would reccommend this feeder to any hunter, whether they are as serious about hunting as I am or just someone that wants a good feeder system for the price.
