Accessory MIL-STD-1913 (Picatinny) Rail for Springfield Armory M1A (Wooden Stock)

I purchased two of these, one month apart. The first one I received was the 807B version, which was an exact fit for the synthetic (Mossy Oak) stock. All I had to do was unscrew the original swivel plate, remove, and then mount and screw in the Versa-Pod Rail with the two hex nuts supplied. Works great.
I ordered another, and received the 807 version, which has two bolts (and washers) which are to be inserted thru two holes from the interior of the stock into the two threaded holes in this rail. Which might work on a wood stock, but won't on the synthetic stock, which has two threaded fixtures, which are about 1/16" too close together to allow the bolts to use the existing threaded holes in the stock and match up with the threads in the rail.
I sent it back to KFS, asking for an exchange - awaiting their response.
Good product
Well just got this in today but it didnt work out like i hoped it would. If you are look to get this item thinking it will work with the existing lugs holes it wont as the mounting holes on the versa pod adapter are off by a few MM.

Please dont waste your time or money on this product. Versa pod did not machine this rail properly. The customer service was the worst I have ever delt with. It took over a week to get an answer and when I did it was from a girl who seemed more like a distracted teenager. Her emails were unprofessional and looked like a twitter posting. They sent me new hardware that was just totally wrong and wasnt long enough to go threw the rail. They refused a refund or to fix the problem. I can see this company not lasting long.

Caldwell XLA Pivot Model Bipod (9 -13 Inch)

Great for the money.
If you expect something like the Harris this is not the product you're looking for, Get the Harris. If you want something that just works and you don't want to spend the $100+ on the harris this won't let you down.
Caldwell Bipod
I replaced another brand bipod on my hunting rifle with the Caldwell as I had previously experienced the Caldwell bipod on my smaller caliber varmint rifle. The Caldwell is well designed, tough, and does the job without "folding up" on you. The pivoting tilt feature is worth the cost alone. An excellent product, priced right, delivered in fact sooner than expected. I've learned, also, that products through Amazon do have a valid warranty, as advertised, and, should something go wrong, with the product or shipping, Amazon makes sure we are satisfied with the selected option. Well done. Thank you.
Great Bipod at a good price
I have a Harris bi pod and I like this one much more. I plan to buy another. For the price it can't be beat and the quality is there.
