Fantastic
What can one say about a Buck knife, except beatiful. Almost hate to take it afield, almost too pretty.Too big for skinning whitetails, but will come in handy to split pelvic bone. Also making the othe guys in deer camp green with envey. Thought these were discontinued in the 1980's. Very happy with purchase
Excellent survival knife.
I have been using this knife for years. This Buck knife, also called the General or 120, holds an edge, has good balance and has a full tang. It is longer than the Buck 119 knife and is almost like a small machete. I have seen this knife used on a couple of survival shows on tv where it is the only knife carried. I have a number of knives for various tasks but this one is great for camping, hunting and anything else where a fixed blade would be appropriate.
update review
knives are beautiful. however, the scabbard of one (I bought three each) is severely cracked ontop of the belt loop and cannot be restored by leather conditioner. maybe I can keep the other two sheaths (which are showing evidence that they too are very dry and beginning to crack ) from cracking with leather conditioner. all three scabbards are extremely dry, indicating poor quality "tanning" process. be cautious.
Amazon.com rapidly replaced the defective sheath with one that is perfect. I am astounded as to the care that Amazon.com places upon assuring the satisfaction of its customers. I noticed that the replacement knife box had been opened to assure the quality before mailing. thank you..well done!!!
