Tech Sight's TSR100 Adjustable Aperture Sight for the Ruger® 10/22® Rifle

Excellent Upgrade
These are EXCELLENT standard military style iron-sights which easily add on to your rifle (a Ruger 10/22 in my case). If you are using these for a Liberty Training Rifle or Appleseed, get the TSR100 model. The difference between the TSR100 and TSR200 is the TSR100 adjusts for elevation only at the front sights, while the TSR200 adjusts for elevation at both front and rear sight as well as for windage at the rear sights (more than what is needed for Appleseed). Do get the front sight tool for adjustment (TS155), on a .22lr you can't use the bullet tip to push down the front sight adjustment pin as you can on center fire rifles. IF you get the TSR200, also get the rear sight elevation adjustment tool (TS211) because it isn't easily adjusted the way it is on an AR15 or similar sighting system. Regarding installation, the Ruger 10/22 has a thin solder on the front sight, so you will have to bang it to break the solder connection and get the front sight to move. Drive the front sight out...
The best iron sight for your 10/22 rifle
I will begin with the end. My liking of the TSR100 sight is unqualified. While I have a few nits with the sight, overall I am completely satisfied with it.

I have been shooting Ruger 10/22 rifles for decades. These are superb semi-automatic .22 rifles. I have never cared for the stock Ruger sights for a variety of reasons. Finally, this year I resolved to explore alternative iron sights. I selected the Tech Sight TSR100 because it is essentially identical to the sights that my M16a1 rifle had during my Army service. So at least I was familiar with how it worked! Nonetheless, I was initially skeptical of whether I would be satisfied with the accuracy that I would achieve with this sight.

The rear portion of the sight is easy for the user to install. Not so much the front sight. This involves tapping the original OEM sight out, and I decided that I would have a gunsmith do this part of the installation for me. It worked out just fine.

Best purchase yet for my 10/22
This setup beats the open sights that come with the 10/22 by a wide margin. Very fast target acquisition, and strong build - it's actually made of METAL!!
I suggest you also get the adjusting tool when you order the sight, it really simplifies your setup. I mounted these on a 10/22 Compact, so the improved sight radius was a real plus. Those extra inches really help!

All the standard AR peeps and posts fit, so I'm going to install some trijicon parts for low light here in the Alaska woods. For a fast, short-range field gun setup, I don't think you can beat this sight.
