Truglo Fiber Optic Handgun Sight Set - S&W M&P, Red/Green

Disappointed
PROS: Very bright, easy to acquire target

CONS: Delicate, not durable without user modification (see update at bottom)

I bought this set of sights for my Smith & Wesson M&P .40 on the recommendation of a local competitive shooter. I had them installed at the local dealer/gunsmith shop, and at first, I was really impressed with how bright the red dot was at the front. The green dots on the back sight were a lot dimmer than the red dot, but I got used to that, since you want to focus on your target and let the front sight guide your aim anyway. I got a lot of positive comments on the sights, and was generally quite happy with them, and was a lot more accurate shooting with them than the standard iron sights. That is, until today.

Today, I got my magazine/ammo kit together and went to practice at the range. I got on my lane, set up a target, swapped out my self-defense ammo magazine with a target load one, raised my gun to fire, and no red dot! It...
i think i;d pay more and get more
In low light you can't see anything i saw more with my old white dots. In bright sunlight it looks great
Very Bright!
Pros-Very bright and they make a huge difference for me and my 45yr old eyes. I can acquire the target much faster now due to the contrast and brightness of the colors of the front and rear sight.

Cons-Install can be a pain in the rear, unless you have a buddy who has the Smith & Wesson sight tool to easily remove the old and install the new sights. If you do not have this tool, find a gunsmith who can do this if you are not familiar with removing and installing Pistol sights.

My buddy and I installed these on my M&P9c. Well worth the money.
