Columbia River Knife and Tool M16-13SF 3-1/2-Inch Special Forces Folding Serrated Blade Knife

Best of the Best!
While attending Combat Skills Training at Camp Shelby, MS, I found the M16-13SF in the PX, and purchased it. I'd like to say, that it is without a doubt the best knife (fixed or folding) that I've ever owned! The Tanto blade, LAWKS system, double flippers, multiple carry options, etc. (I could go on) are absolute genius! I used this knife in training, lost it, bought a new one, went to Afghanistan, lost it, bought yet another, and finally kept hold of it (my stupidity, not the knife, caused the loss). :-) I served for one year in Afghanistan, carried it on numerous combat convoys, and it never left my side. I opened mail, packages, MREs, cut 550 cord, and it was flawless! The one handed opening is invaluable. I'm never without my CRKT (cricket)!
Durable!
I have owned this knife for 5 years (?) maybe 4; either way its been a while, and I absolutely love this knife. The auto-lawks system is amazing and really does make it just as sturdy as a fixed blade knife. I have beaten the living hell out of this knife from digging in to stone filled dirt, to sheet rock, and a couple animal have been cut with it [hunting], to cutting out something where the blade would then scrape rock underneath what I was cutting, and the blade holds up. I've sharpened it maybe 2 times since I got it. I even got stopped by the police for a traffic violation and he asked if I had any knifes or weapons on me, and I admitted to the knife, and he really liked it and asked about it it, funny, and yes the knife was returned to me.
After these how ever many years I've had it. I stupidly lost it. I'm sure this knife would have continued to serve me well for years to come, but now its time to buy a new one! I'm loving the price on amazon!!
Excellent knife
I carried one of these knives for a 14 month deployment, and used it every day. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Inexpensive, clips easily to body armor, light, and easy to adjust. It worked through sandstorms and 45 mph dashes on top of a gun truck (the up armor conversion made my old soft-top slow), and never seemed to get any harder to open. I sharpened it, I don't know, maybe twice in over a year? Honestly, half of the time, I would just hold it, and work the action. It was therapeutic, I guess. Touch the guard, flick the wrist, and then snap the blade back with the thumb and forefinger. I nicked myself once or twice, but I am also pretty sure it wasn't designed to be a stress-reliefe tool.
An M249, an M9, and an M16-13sf was all I needed. Well, and the body armor.
